Let Me Out

You know all about book works right? What about book dragons? Let Me Out has a cute little dragon that gets sucked into a book. He is trapped and must make it to the vortex of the next level. There are golden pages to collect along they way. Those golden pages are used to unlock additional worlds. So I collected as many as possible in every single level.

The little dragon is in a ball. He is launched from a cannon. There are various items in Let Me Out that are used to get him to the end spot vortex. One of the neatest aspects of Let Me Out is your character will bounce off the sides of the screen. No flying off into limbo like so many similar apps. This adds a degree of strategy.

The graphics in Let Me Out are decent. The story is told in comic book like scenes which look wonderful. The worlds have different themes. If you hit your dragon ball (no pun intended) into electricity then he disappears before the level re-spawns. The game is kind enough to leave the player the path your previous shot went. This makes moving objects around in the level much easier. This is a neat little aspect of Let Me Out.

The music in Let Me Out is great. I love listening to it while I am playing this iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad app. Family Friendly Gaming was provided the universal version of Let Me Out. The special effect sounds brought a smile to my face. Especially the electricity sound. There are one hundred levels in Let Me Out. For ninety-nine cents. That is a good deal in my book.

Let Me Out does a fantastic job teaching the player how to play. At the beginning I felt like Let Me Out was walking me through how to play. Later on the game has no hint system. This can make certain levels frustrating. I performed all kinds of trial and error to try and figure out how to beat some levels. If you enjoy that kind of thinking you will love Let Me Out.

Let Me Out taught me to think about angles, speed, and bounce. The farther the character fell the higher his bounce would be. I also had to shift my thinking for the edges of the screen - since Let Me Out lets us use it as a hard surface. Chillingo is known for making some great titles. Let Me Out is another game that I really enjoy.
