Kinect Sports Season Two
SCORE: 93
There were a couple of games that
impressed me at Microsoft's E3 Press Conference in the year of our Lord
2011. You may have already read those reviews. Well here comes another
one. Kinect Sports Season Two was one of those games that I could not
wait to get my hands on. The more I talked about this game to our team
the more excited everyone became.
I am currently an exhausted sweaty mess. But an exhausted sweaty mess
with a smile on his face. Kinect Sports Season Two is everything I
thought it could be, and more. It contains Football, Skiing, Baseball,
Darts, Golf, and Tennis. Are you ready for the most innovative thing
about Kinect Sports Season Two? This Xbox 360 Kinect title includes
in-game voice controls. How cool is that?
The Xbox 360 Avatars blend nicely into this game. There are tons of nice
little details used throughout Kinect Sports Season Two. I noticed adds
on the sides of walls in football, lights on the floor in darts, and
more. The most violent Kinect Sports Season Two becomes is the tackling
in football. Which is actually pretty tame. Remember I played football
in high school, so I know all about bone crunching tackles. I gave some,
and received some. The hits are not bad in this home console game, which
is something families will appreciate.
I do need to mention one small little detail concerning Kinect Sports
Season Two. There is a demo included that has an
'E10+' rating. The content in Kinect Sports Season Two is 'E' for
Everyone though. Purchasing Kinect Sports Season Two grants the owner
one month of Xbox Live Gold Membership, and the Football Avatar Pack.
Being able to verbalize my commands is absolutely awesome. I know some
will find it lazy, but I really enjoyed that aspect of Kinect Sports
Season Two. There are celebration songs that players hear. These are
pretty current songs that I recognized from different dance games.
Kinect Sports Season Two shows a video in how to control the game the
first time a certain aspect of the game is reached. It also explains
when to raise your hand to signify your willingness to start.
Families can easily enjoy Kinect Sports Season Two for months to come. I
personally hope that families purchase Kinect Sports Season Two so we
can have a season three. There are three different difficulty settings
for each of the six sports included in this Xbox 360 title. Numerous
rewards, and downloadable content is also included. Up to four family
members can enjoy Kinect Sports Season Two. Two players can compete in
the online multiplayer.
The controls are the first thing that stuck out about Kinect Sports
Season Two. They are nearly flawless. Plus they really put you into the
game. Crouching before hiking the ball, and then throwing felt natural.
I never had a problem with where it was going. I could feel my way to
the right place in darts. Tennis is the same way. The level of realism
in Kinect Sports Season Two is astounding.
None of that is the really good news though. Kinect Sports Season Two
will help you exercise in a fun way. Oh I could feel the burn alright,
but I was having too much fun to really care. I loved scoring
touchdowns, or getting through all the flags and getting to the bottom
first. I had a blast playing Kinect Sports Season Two.
The first lesson in Kinect Sports Season Two is to get some exercise.
This game teaches that lesson amazingly well. Then there is competition,
and pay attention to your surroundings. Waiting too long in the pocket
will result in a sack. Accuracy are important in every single one of
these sports. Especially with Golf. I am very thankful that we were
provided a copy to play for this review. This is a great game for
families to look into.
