I Can Read Early Reader

You have probably read many reviews from my wonderful hubby. He consistently talks about how blessed we are. I hate to inflate that head but I have agree with him. We are very blessed with Family Friendly Gaming. As I write this we have reached almost two million families. That is amazingly insane. It shocks me that all those years of hard work pays off. I was surprised when he told me we were being given a gift card to purchase some I Can Read! Early Reader books.

I learned something very interesting about the three children's books I selected. I needed to download iBook to be able to view them. I also am still trying to find out how I can lock that down so my six year old does not accidentally download something from iBooks he is not supposed to. The three books I downloaded are Splat the Cat Sings Flat, Frog and Toad are Friends, and The Berenstein Bears Class Trip.

The digital versions of these books look very similar to the real thing. There are also adjustments for brightness and how loud the book is read to the child. The voice acting is excellent. If I could ever find out how to do that job, I would do it. Don't tell my hubby, but his voice would be great for certain books as well. Children can learn some fun things about friendship, and honey from these books.

Our six year old is working on learning how to read. I appreciate how these books take him through. The words are highlighted as they are read. He can follow along while it recites the story. He has had mixed reactions to the books. Some of them he has enjoyed going through multiple times. Other times they do not retain his interest. I do not see the digital versions replacing the real thing anytime soon. They are a nice variation. Our son likes to hear our voices, and the special effects we bring to the table.

Everything is going digital, so it does not surprise me to see I Can Read! Early Reader books doing the same. I do believe this fills a gap for specific families. These books can be used to reinforce the reading training you are giving your children. Different kids learn via different methods. I can see this method reaching certain children better than traditional means. I need to talk to my hubby about getting his book out there on iBook.
