F1 2010 Game

Whether we like it or not the gaming world is going towards the apps. As the market on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch continues to grow we can expect to see more kinds of games. F1 2010 Game is a racing game that I would have never expected to see on these machines. Yet here it is, and I am writing a review on it. Family Friendly Gaming was given a download code for this review.

The visuals in F1 2010 Game are amazing, astounding, and fantastic. I can not believe how good F1 2010 Game looks. This is one of the best looking games I have ever played on these systems. Jump Games did not skimp in terms of the graphics. The images are kept family friendly as well. Which means the vehicles do not show damage when they crash into the walls. That makes F1 2010 Game approachable by more members of the family.

The vehicle sounds in F1 2010 Game fit the theme, and enhance this game in various ways. The special effect sounds on the menu screen also bring something fun and fresh to the gaming table. I enjoyed listening to the sounds just about as much as I enjoyed looking at F1 2010 Game. This game looks great with all kinds of small little details, and it sounds great as well.

F1 2010 Game includes various vehicles and race tracks. This game encourages family members to race really well and then check the leaderboards. I would have appreciated a racing mode that was not just running for time. This app is currently selling for three dollars, so it is more like something on the Nintendo 3DS than the iPod Touch. An okay price for iPad as long as you understand the issues in the game play.

Remember that I said F1 2010 Game looks great and sounds great? Well there are sadly some control issues. I wish F1 2010 Game played great. This is the only real issue that is holding this game back from being a great one. This app includes a couple of different control schemes. I ran into issues with each and every single one of them. Turning is the biggest issue. It is too easy to go front first into a wall, and then have to back up. That killed me on every single track I played. This led me to deep levels of frustration.

I was praying about the lesson in F1 2010 Game. First I thought it was teaching me to deal with my anger. Which go back to the control issues. Then something dawned on me. I saw a lesson in F1 2010 Game that others may not see. That lesson is to follow the narrow path, and avoid obstacles. Keep your speed down when having to navigate the twists and turns of life.
