DualPenSports

Namco Bandai continues to impress us here at Family Friendly Gaming. They had a solid E3 2011. They keep producing games with families in mind. DualPenSports is a wonderful idea on the Nintendo 3DS. In fact this game feels like a Wii game in many ways. The sports in DualPenSports are Baseball, Soccer, Basketball, Boxing, Archery, Skiing, and Paragliding. This hand held game comes with two sport styluses. I found that certain sports can be played with just one, but the Tap Exercises really need two.

The visuals in DualPenSports are impressive. In fact I am amazed at how fantastic this game looks. The 3D effects are nice, and bring something fun to this 3DS game. There is some cartoon violence in things like the boxing. This is at the level of Wii Sports Boxing. I found it to be very cartoonish. Things like archery really had me working on my angles and wind speed. Baseball, and Paragliding have some neat special effects.

I love it when a game sounds upbeat, fun, and fresh. Those words all describe the audio department of DualPenSports. The special effect sounds fit the theme of these sports, and add something to the experience. I appreciate how DualPenSports has training screens before the player does something for the first time. With so much content, it is definitely needed.

Players earn Athli as they play DualPenSports. There are also daily challenges, and stamps that can be earned on a calendar. I found that DualPenSports is a game that is fun to play over and over again. There are enough challenges, and unlockable content to keep gamers coming back for more. I believe that DualPenSports is worth the price admission. This fills a huge gap in the Nintendo 3DS library.

As I played DualPenSports I was tapping, and drawing lines all over the screen. This hand held video game keeps players on their toes. Some of the games need a gentle touch whereas others require some speed and strength. I found DualPenSports to be a lot of fun. DualPenSports helped me with my finger dexterity. It is blatantly obvious that I am right handed.

I am so thankful that Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable copy of DualPenSports. This is a great game for families. It can teach finger dexterity as well as some basics of different sports. The mixture of the sports in DualPenSports may seem strange. However they are a lot of fun. Like many rules there is an exception. I did not like Basketball. It is the most difficult sport in this game in my opinion. I really got into every other sport in DualPenSports though.
