Playmobil Knights
SCORE: 81

Playmobil Knights will
remind a lot of gamers of the Lego franchise. This game is based on
Playmobil characters. An evil wizard has taken over the land, and
entrapped people with these nasty storm clouds. The kingdoms knights
have all been captured. So it is up to you, a lowly beet farmer to save
the kingdom. If you can restore peace to the kingdom, you get to marry
		the princess.

Visually there are highs and lows in Playmobil Knights. The Playmobile
characters look fantastic, as do the background graphics. There are some
cool, and funny animations in this Nintendo DS game as well. There is
cartoon violence against other Playmobil characters. You can jump over
them and avoid the violence if you make that choice. The RPG Master
avoided violence as much as possible due to the dulling of the sword.

The music in Playmobil Knights is incredible. The RPG Master was really
getting into the music of this game because of how majestic it is. The
special effect sounds are also awesome. The one exception is the eagle
sound when flying on a dragon. A shrill eagle's cry did not seem to fit
the game. There are also areas of this game that are whimsical.

Playmobil Knights has a good length of play to the story. In a lot of
ways Playmobil Knights is an intro to role playing. Most of the role
playing genre components are there, but they are all pretty light.
Quests can be done quickly, but there are a lot of them. Mini games are
playable outside the main game, and there are multi-player modes (Both
		single and multi-card modes).

The game play in Playmobil Knights is very simplistic. The enemies do
not put up much of a fight either. Dragon riders fly the same pattern,
and will attack if you get close. The knights will do the same thing.
Animals will follow the same pattern, and are easily avoidable. Hitting
an enemy with your sword will dull it. Your sword has so many points and
then its gone. This became frustrating because on some missions the RPG
Master wound up losing money. The diversity of the missions is good, and
		keeps this DS game fresh.

The crude humor the ESRB mentions is usually sexual in nature. The
players character is Sir Beetalot. It does not take the stretch of the
imagination to figure out where they were going. Some of the humor is
actually funny like the old wizard sleeping, and your character trying
to get his attention. The storyline about trying to save a land from an
evil wizard is one of the things that saves Playmobil Knights in this
section. Your character also goes on many quests helping others, and
expecting no reward. Most of the time rewards are given.
