My Baby 3 and Friends
SCORE: 84
The Nintendo DS has given us so many wonderful experiences over the years. The touch screen, and microphone allow game developers to bring in new play mechanics that allow us to expand how we define video games. My Baby 3 & Friends allows players to take care of a toddler. There is playing with them, teaching them things, talking to them, and dressing them up. My Baby 3 & Friends appeals more to girls than it will boys.
I know the toddlers in My Baby 3 & Friends are referred to as babies. I supposed technically they are still babies, but when they are walking and talking they are toddlers to me. They have an artistic look to them that encompasses a lot of realism. The animation of the toddlers in My Baby 3 & Friends is very realistic. There are a few different choices for how the toddlers look which will reach a wide range of families.
The happy sounds, and fussy sounds in My Baby 3 & Friends are way too realistic for me. I fondly remember this age of my own boys, and the fussy sounds illicit a specific response. The music in My Baby 3 & Friends is okay. The instructions in this Nintendo DS game are very easy to follow. Picking up the ways to play the different mini games is simple. My Baby 3 & Friends emphasizes caring for children. I am very pleased to see this in another video game.
If you enjoy taking care of babies, then you will find a lot of replay value to My Baby 3 & Friends. There are thirty skills, and various activities. My Baby 3 & Friends also contains numerous clothing items to be purchased. Family Friendly Gaming was given a reviewable copy of My Baby 3 & Friends. I feel it is worth the money, and am considering purchasing this game for my niece for Christmas.
Some of the mini games are more fun than others. All of them revolve around the well being of the players in game baby. I ran into a few issues talking into the microphone. For some reason My Baby 3 & Friends was not recognizing me calling my babies attention. This did not happen all of the time, but enough to catch my attention. The touch screen controls worked beautifully in My Baby 3 & Friends.
One of the best things I have done in my life is help raise our two
boys. My Baby 3 & Friends is not perfect in replicating those
activities. It does remind me of those joyous days. I am so happy to see
this franchise reach three, and hope it has a four. It was my personal
pleasure and joy to be able to play and review My Baby 3 & Friends on
the Nintendo DS.
