Kidz Bop Dance Party The Video Game
SCORE: 88
Christmas in the year of our Lord 2010 has seen a nice number of
children exercise video games. You have probably read my Just Dance Kids
review by now. If not, you really should. Kidz Bop Dance Party The Video
Game is a Wii game that takes the game play mechanics from We Cheer, and
merges it with the Kidz Bop franchise. There are twenty four songs on
this disc that kids can dance to.
The majority of Kidz Bop Dance Party The Video Game is safe for all ages
of the family. There were some dance moves that kids were doing that I
would not do, and I would not let my niece do either. We are Baptist,
and there is an ingrain issue with dancing. The majority of the dance
moves were safe in my opinion. Look I did them, so that should say a
lot. The Miis in the background are a nice touch. Following the star is
pretty simple even on the harder dance levels.
The really neat thing about Kidz Bop Dance Party The Video Game is the
songs are sung by kids. Questionable lyrics have been replaced by safe
lyrics. I appreciate that, especially in a kids game. I enjoyed quite a
few of the songs in Kidz Bop Dance Party The Video Game. My kids did as
well. Although my oldest was expecting a different array of songs being
Kidz Bop. To be safe you may want to go over the song list to see how
many of them are your favorites.
The twenty-four songs in Kidz Bop Dance Party The Video Game seems light
compared to other dance franchises. The cool thing is this Wii game
includes videos of the real kids, and a nice amount of unlockable
clothing and accessories for the male and female dance characters. I
feel that Kidz Bop Dance Party The Video Game is worth the price of
admission. It hits the target audience perfectly and gets them dancing
around. A great way to relieve some of that energy, especially during
Christmas break.
Controls can kill a dance game. Kidz Bop Dance Party The Video Game is
very forgiving. I noticed my youngest was not doing the exact motions,
but the game gave him some points for trying, and other times gave him
full credit. This helps kids not get frustrated and have a good time.
Getting exercise while playing a video game is like playing a song list
while they play outside.
Family Friendly Gaming was given a reviewable copy of Kidz Bop Dance
Party The Video Game for this review. We are very thankful for that,
because we can bring coverage of this game to your computers. There are
numerous lessons in the lyrics of the songs in Kidz Bop Dance Party The
Video Game. There is also a lesson of getting up, and moving around. I
hope this franchise continues in the future. It has a bright future
ahead of it.
