Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon
SCORE: 66
The best way I can describe Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon
is as a horror role playing game. Players start this Wii game as Seto.
He has just buried the old man he has been living with. The old man left
him a note about where he might find other humans. Are you the last
person on earth? Or are there others out there? Fragile Dreams Farewell
Ruins of the Moon is the first game I have played that deeply explores
loneliness, and despair.
The world of Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon is very dark. The
player gets a flashlight early on. This illuminates the world a little
bit at a time. The shading, and lighting effects are fantastic in
Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon. The world is slowly falling
apart. Nature is taking back control of areas that were once controlled
by man. Decay is all over the place. The violence in this Wii game is
against evil spirits, dogs, and some other things. Modesty in dress is
not something females in this game celebrate.
The music in Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon fits the theme.
It did not take me long in this game to start feeling down. I really
felt for Seto as various characters (including robotic ones) died. He
would be all alone. Finding various mystery items unlocks information.
Much of that is down right strange. What made sense was sad as well.
Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon includes a reversible cover
that will thrill art fans. I was personally not impressed with the back
side image. There are a lot of hidden items in this game. The more
mystery items you find, the more of the background story you get. The
length of Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon will keep most teen
to adult gamers busy for awhile. That is if you can stomach the darkness
in this game.
The difficulty level in Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon is
appropriate. Too many horror based games are extremely difficult. They
like to limit the player on how many bullets are available for example.
Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon has a few spots where
purchasing or finding another weapon can be difficult. Leveling up makes
this home console game easier, so players are encouraged to fight.
Speaking of the fights, they are pretty rudimentary. I did not find a
lot of depth to that system, and it got very repetitive. Searching
around the areas was actually kind of cool, and it felt like playing a
mystery novel.
The most interesting aspect of Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon
is how the empathy project missed love. I won't spoil the ending anymore
than that. As I played Fragile Dreams Farewell Ruins of the Moon I found
myself very thankful that I have a relationship with God. The levels of
loneliness this game explores can be very disheartening. This Wii game
does not teach the lesson, but it got me thinking about living in
darkness and what sadness it brings. Life is so much better living in
the light.
