Hannah Montana The Movie
SCORE: 87
I did not expect a lot from Hannah Montana The Movie for the Wii.
This is the second time I have come across the Hannah Montana franchise
this year, and it has performed better than I expected. Movie games, and
girl games have a higher percentage of failure, so I had reasons to be
wary. Miley needs to get to her country roots, and learn what it is like
back on the farm. Focus is more on survival and less on selfishness, and
possessions. The Wii version was reviewed, but it appears on multiple
platforms.
The graphics in Hannah Montana The Movie were better than I expected.
The large character models look very realistic on the Wii. They walk
around like real people, and dance on stage like real people as well.
Some of Hannah's attire choices are not the kind of clothes I would want
young girls to aspire towards. Men have enough problems in our culture
without losing themselves to lustful thoughts. I want to stress this is
only certain outfits. Many of her outfits are very tasteful.
I thought I was listening to one of the television shows thanks to all
the spectacular voice acting. Hannah Montana The Movie has light, upbeat
music that bring joy to a lot of people's lives. I know that not
everyone can be made happy, so let me touch on the lyrics. I found few
issues with them, but know there are a lot of discerning parents who may
have a problem. My advice is to research her songs, and read some of the
lyrics.
Disney Interactive Studios hid clothing items, and tour bus furniture
all over the place. If you want to find all of it, then you will be
replaying Hannah Montana The Movie for quite a few weeks. The story mode
is long enough to keep most kids engaged for a couple of weeks. Only one
player can play this game at a time, so if you are looking for a come
together title - keep looking.
Hannah Montana The Movie advises the player to do the tutorial first.
This is not required however. I would second their recommendation. Most
of the controls are simple, and intuitive. There are a few controls that
should be learned. With all of that said I had a blast playing Hannah
Montana The Movie. It felt like I was Miley in one of the television
shows.
Hannah Montana The Movie teaches helping others, and protecting our
farms (also could be seen as our past). There is Hannah Montana styled
humor that you will either appreciate or hate. I would like to see more
video games like this in the near future. Maybe even some downloadable
games in episode format.
