Bratz Ponyz 2
SCORE: 83
Bratz Ponyz 2 is exactly what a sequel should be - an improvement in almost every single region of the game. The Nintendo DS has been a breeding ground for good games that girls can enjoy. Family Friendly Gaming has appreciated the efforts of such talented teams over at The Game Factory. As a publisher they listen to media outlets, and their target audience. The upgrades found in Bratz Ponyz 2 exhibit this perfectly.
The color scheme comes to life in Bratz Ponyz 2 on the DS. The soft colors that we females prefer are abundant in this game. The ponyz animate nicely, and the different regions look great. In fact the dancing trees, and other background images make Bratz Ponyz 2 feel like a festive environment.
I found myself really enjoying the music in Bratz Ponyz 2. The special effect sounds in the plethora of mini games all fit nicely, and continue the festive theme. Girls I let play Bratz Ponyz 2 were bouncing with the beat coming from this game. I did not find any offensive language, or sounds while playing this Nintendo DS video game.
The Game Factory made sure that Bratz Ponyz 2 is way bigger than the first game. Traveling to the different islands is fun, and another way this game has been drastically improved over the sequel. The mini games are easy to complete, but some will take practice in order to get the best possible score. I feel that Bratz Ponyz 2 is one of the video games that is worth your money. This DS game is geared towards girls, but I found even boys can enjoy a game like this one.
Finding items has been improved in Bratz Ponyz 2. The touch screen only controls continue, but I have adapted to this style as more games have gone to it on the Nintendo DS. The tweaks done to the mini games make Bratz Ponyz 2 a lot more fun. The layout of the levels, and islands display an amazing intelligent design.
There are some nice
educational aspects to Bratz Ponyz 2 on the Nintendo DS. Girls can learn
lessons in art, design, and music. All three of these are important, and
could even lead to employment later in life. I asked for a sequel the
first time, and am pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out. This
series is going the right direction, and I hope to see future releases
of this franchise.
