Chibi-Robo Park Patrol
SCORE: 81
The world famous Chibi-Robo is back in Chibi-Robo Park Patrol for the Nintendo DS. The little helpful robot sets out to restore a polluted park back to its former glory. This is done by playing music for white flowers, and then watering the seeds that come out. Little robotic friends are found, and they assist in repair projects to the park (i.e. a broken bridge). Nintendo included a very strong pro environmental message inside Chibi-Robo Park Patrol. Thankfully in all of my travels across America I have never seen a park in the shape of the park found within this game. Currently living in harmony with nature in the country means the environmental message does not apply to me.
The graphics in Chibi-Robo Park Patrol have a lot of wonderful colors, especially the flowers. Chibi-Robo hits the enemies with water, fills them up, and they explode like a water balloon. That is the extent of the violence in this Nintendo DS video game.
There are a lot of quirky little sounds found within Chibi-Robo Park Patrol that all fit quite well. The music attached to the dancing fits the celebration of flowers. I really loved the sounds applied to the final growth stage of a flower. I did not find any offensive sounds while playing Chibi-Robo Park Patrol.
There is a huge park for the player to restore. Plenty of items along with park projects are available, along with a lot of friends to find. Multiple saves are allowed, but only one player can play this game at a time. In my humble opinion this is a game that is worth your hard earned financial resources.
Chibi-Robo controls well, and the utilization of the touch screen really makes the action flow smooth. The only knock against the game play section is how the camera is controlled. That caused a few problems for me when I was trying to find where those pesky little enemies had run off to. I found Chibi-Robo Park Patrol to be a lot of fun to play.
Chibi-Robo Park Patrol is
a game about correcting the mistakes of others, and making the world a
better place. This falls directly in line with what churches all across
America are doing on a daily basis. It even echoes what we are doing
here with Family Friendly Gaming. The actions of the evil characters
mirrors how Satan is trying to stop us grow and mature in a relationship
with God. I found a lot of wonderful lessons in this game. I would like
to see some sequels to this DS game.
