Sonic and the Black Knight
Family Friendly Gaming has been clamoring for a sequel to Sonic and the Secret Rings for quite some time now. Sonic and the Black Knight is that sequel. On the surface that statement may confuse a lot of people. In fact it confused me at first. Sonic has a sword, and fights knights. How can this be a sequel to a fun ultra fast game like Sonic and the Secret Rings? You really have to play Sonic and the Black Knight to understand. First things first, the music is absolutely fantastic in this Wii game. The levels play very similar, and there are plenty of missions to complete. The storyline in Sonic and the Black Knight is way better than I was expecting. There are some issues with this home console game though. The violence of slicing and dicing while running at full speeds is the most noticeable. This is what earns Sonic and the Black Knight its E10+ rating with Fantasy Violence being the descriptor. I am working on getting a review done in an upcoming issue of Family Friendly Gaming. Can this game surpass the original? Just wait and see my friends. {05/26/2010} - Mark
