Rock Band 3

One of the more interesting games at E3 in the year of our Lord 2010 was Rock Band 3. There was a lot of pomp and circumstance surrounding this game. The presentation was very impressive. The inclusion of the keyboard makes perfect sense to this franchise. MadCatz has some fantastic peripherals for Rock Band 3, which can be used in the real world. One of the cool things about Rock Band 3 is it is being portrayed as a game that can teach people to actually play the real life instruments. The menu screens have been streamlined to allow families to pick the kinds of songs they like. One of the issues Family Friendly Gaming has heard from a lot of parents is bad language in certain songs. I was assured by one of the head of the presentation that parents will be able to lock out certain songs. The Career mode of Rock Band 3 will allow for more choices, so you will not be stuck on some song. Hardcore Rock Band 3 fans who have complained there are not enough difficult songs are also being provided for with some amazingly tough songs. The background of the game is all new, and shows the band walking around on the street looking like criminals. There are so many songs that families should be able to find some great songs they will enjoy. {06/27/2010} - Paul
