The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks
The Legend of Zelda has been one of the longer running franchises. Zelda fans are an interesting bunch. The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks takes the Wind Waker visual style and uses trains instead of boats. This is a most fascinating technological step for the franchise. The RPG Master wonders if Nintendo is going to try a futuristic Zelda at some point down the timeline. The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks earns its E10+ rating for some really adult content. The best example is the spirit of Princess Zelda is stripped from her body. She is able to possess things like suits of armor. The ultimate bad guy in this Nintendo DS video game wants to possess her body. The normal sword play is present in The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks, as well as the puzzles. Like any RPG this hand held game has the player running all around the world completing quests. If you need something or someone, expect it to be the farthest away from you almost all the time. The RPG Master has gotten used to that in this genre. Still it would be nice to only have to go next door sometimes. That might shake things up a little bit. The sole descriptor from the ESRB is Mild Fantasy Violence. Zelda veterans will find a lot familiar things in The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks. Lord willing a review will be appearing in an upcoming issue of Family Friendly Gaming. {12/21/2009} - RPG Master
