Luxor Pharaohs Challenge

Luxor Pharaohs Challenge

Luxor Pharaoh’s Challenge on the Playstation Portable (PSP) is a fun Magnetica style of puzzle game with a major Egyptian theme. There are quite a few of Egyptian mythological stories based on the different gods in that culture. The puzzle action has the player flinging marbles towards a grouping of marbles that are rolling along a path across the screen. Three or more of the same color will make that grouping go away. The player must complete the task before the marbles roll to the exit part on the screen. This starts out relatively easy, but as the levels are completed it becomes increasingly difficult. Plenty of power ups fall down to assist the player in successfully winning the levels. The graphics are slightly improved from the DS version, but look small to me. At the beginning of each world the game gives some Egyptian mythology. Mumbo Jumbo has been making a very nice splash into the hand held video game market from the Personal Computer (PC) platform. Expect a full review to appear in a future issue of Family Friendly Gaming, and online. {01/04/2008} - Frank
