Zozo and the Lost Dreams Announced

Family Friendly Gaming News

June 1st, in the year of our Lord 2026 - Red Dunes Games, in collaboration with Agate, is excited to unveil the vibrant 2D Metroidvania platformer Zozo and the Lost Dreams as part of Steam Next Fest, with the full game on track to release on PC and consoles in Q3/4 2026. If you’re in search of imaginative worlds, clever exploration, and playful storytelling, get this dreamy adventure to your wishlists now. An exciting new preview allows players to drift off peacefully to a chaotic slumber land where your wildest dreams (and nightmares) come true.

Zozo is an energetic 13-year-old with big dreams of becoming a superhero, and with the help of his eccentric neighbour, Professor Aisha, he ventures into his own technicolor dreamscape to live out his fantasies. But when a mysterious glitch traps him deep within the dreamworld, Zozo must leap into action to find his way back home.

Zozo and the Lost Dreams blends classic Metroidvania exploration with Saturday-morning cartoon fun you know and love. Traverse wildly imaginative dreamscapes full of whimsical challenges and quirky foes. Get ready to take on towering cupcake mountains and neon-lit cyber jungles, where predatory computer bugs lurk and pillows become unexpected projectiles.

Don’t hit snooze on this zany adventure!

Every dream Zozo enters is a madcap episode with its own theme, rules, and surprises that plays like a channel-surfing adventure through your favorite cartoons. Jump, smash and dash your way through your enemies; some freeze, some scatter into shapes, or even become platforms to help you explore.

The vibrant, hand-crafted dreamscapes are bursting with humor, heart, and the unexpected. Revisit familiar places with new abilities, uncover hidden paths, and piece together episodes that culminate in a finale worthy of its own theme song.

Explore a handcrafted series of wildly varied dreamscapes
Lively platforming, creative combat, and world-gated progression
Meet quirky characters and uncover the exciting tale behind the madness
Explore episodic dream worlds with distinct themes and playful surprises
Form friendships, tackle oddball enemies, and solve dream logic puzzles

Wake up to a dreamy PC demo!

The action-packed demo squeezes in over an hour of gameplay, including your first opportunity to pilot the controls of the Dandelion Copter. More chapters, more weapons, more upgrades and even more fun await! Tell General Evil we sent you, and don’t bother setting an alarm…
