Waterpark Simulator Leaves Early Access
Family Friendly Gaming News
July 20, in the year of our Lord 2026 - CayPlay
Studios today announced that Waterpark Simulator, the viral physics
and management phenomenon, will officially exit Steam Early Access
and launch into version 1.0 on July 31, 2026 with no price increase.
Simultaneously making its highly anticipated splash on PlayStation 5
and Xbox Series X|S, the 1.0 release is a massive, transformative
overhaul that functions as "Waterpark Simulator 2.0."
Co-founded by Caylus Cunningham, one of the world’s top gaming
creators with over 50 million subscribers across his YouTube
channels, and his longtime business partner Travis Richardson,
CayPlay Studios built Waterpark Simulator to fill a glaring void in
the market. In a genre frequently saturated with quick, unpolished
asset flips, Waterpark Simulator was built from the ground up as a
genuine labor of love.
Having been released in August 2025 as an Early Access, the game has
gained over 1 million downloads and an Overwhelmingly Positive
rating on Steam. The game went viral almost immediately thanks to
some of the largest content creators on the internet, like CaseOh,
Ironmouse, Daz Black, and even the Game Grumps.
To thank the community that helped shape the game through a year of
constant feedback and updates, CayPlay Studios is taking a page out
of the Palworld playbook: the studio will not raise the game’s price
upon its 1.0 release. Early Access sales completely funded the
future of the game, and the studio is passing that value directly
back to the players.
"We didn't want 1.0 to just be a minor version bump or a sticker
slapped on the box," said Travis Richardson, Co-Founder of CayPlay
Studios. “Our community built this game alongside us. They showed us
how much they loved the imagination and pure ragdoll chaos. Due to
their amazing support, we managed to fund anything we had ever
dreamt of adding. Keeping the price the same for the 1.0 and console
launch is our way of saying thank you. Get ready, because
multiplayer is about to turn your pristine parks into beautiful,
hilarious disasters."
