Village in the Shade Release Date

August 11, in the year of our Lord 2026 -- NIS America is excited to announce that Village in the Shade will be coming to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC on October 27. The spooky farming sim will make its debut just in time for Halloween!

Welcome to Kagatsu, a Japanese mountain village with plenty of secrets. In this brand-new, hand-painted farming sim, you'll plant crops, customize your homestead, and befriend a cast of intriguing characters.

Relax by the brook, watch the cherry blossoms with your neighbors, or take a stroll through town. With so many ways to relax, you're sure to feel right at home.

Just make sure to follow a few simple rules: don't talk to strangers, don't leave the village, and, whatever you do, don't go out at night!

Do you struggle with horror? Are you a big scaredy-cat? Then the "Village in the Sunshine" mode is just for you! In this mode, you CAN'T break the rules, meaning you can enjoy quiet countryside living...full stop! Farm, hunt, fish, and more, all at your own pace!
