Serenity Sketch Launches
Family Friendly Gaming News
Leiden, Netherlands, October 6, in the year of our Lord 2026
— Copper Coin today announced the official launch of Serenity Sketch
on iPad. The game is now live on the App Store, with a free demo of
the first two Practices available for download, and the full
Experience unlocked through a single $4.99 in-app purchase.
Serenity Sketch is a guided painting Practice. Inspired by Zen
principles of impermanence, players paint with water on stones set
in immersive natural environments, guided by a warm narrator.
Practices are designed to loosen up creativity, quiet self-judgment,
and appreciate mistakes as part of the process. Every painting
gracefully evaporates, so there's nothing left to critique when
you're done.
"We built this for people who want to re-discover both Rest, and
Creativity," said founder Joshua Veit. "It’s not another
productivity app (ick!) dressed up as mindfulness. Serenity Sketch
is tactile, embodied, and unapologetically playful."
In closed playtesting, players described the experience as:
"Guided art therapy"
"Zen painting"
"something that ACTUALLY made me relax"
Across all survey respondents in the final playtest, 100% reported
feeling more relaxed after playing. Several noted the game reframed
how they think about creativity: "I'm not an artist" gave way to "I
felt liberated to create."
