Plume announced for Steam

Family Friendly Gaming News

Manchester, United Kingdom - October 12th, in the year of our Lord 2026 - Independent developer Coreplix announced Plume today, a twin-stick action roguelite about a tribe of birds ravaged by a volcano. The Steam page is live now and the game launches in Q2 2027.

In Plume, you play as one of the last survivors of a bird tribe. You shoot your way through randomly generated levels, climb the volcano towards the skies, and eat everything you find to reshape how you fight. Between runs, you return home and spend the materials you gathered to rebuild your village from ruins into a thriving home.

Plume has no backpack: your inventory is your stomach, and everything you eat changes your build, from extra projectiles and faster fire rate to elemental damage. You can also plant seeds mid-run and grow them into powerful crops, so each run is shaped by what you choose to grow as well as what you find.

Key Features

Eat to build: every item you eat changes how you fight, with synergies that burn, freeze, and electrocute your enemies.
Grow your own power: collect seeds and plant them mid-run, buy from the shopkeeper, or make offerings to the gods for their blessings.
Rebuild your village: spend materials between runs to unlock new items, characters, and stat boosts.
Different every run: randomly generated maps, characters with different traits, enemies with unique mechanics and attacks, and 5 difficulty levels to beat.
Localized in 11 languages.
