MEWGENICS Release Date

SANTA ANA, California, August 26, in the year of our Lord 2026 — Nicalis officially announces September 8, 2026 as the release date of the tactical strategy/role-playing game Mewgenics on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

In the latest game from the creators of The Binding of Isaac and The End is Nigh, players selectively breed different species of cats and send them off in groups to do battle in turn-based tactical combat. Those who survive can breed with other cats to produce new generations with the superior traits and/or illnesses of their ancestors.

To encourage healthy offspring with useful abilities, Mewgenics players can sequester specific cats and decorate their surroundings with found items that influence their comfort, health or stimulation. Naturally, mutations also occur, which often grant both unusual powers and challenging handicaps.

Mewgenics will be available on September 8, 2026 as a digital download on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for $39.99.
