Honkai Star Rail Version 4.4 Release Date

SINGAPORE, July 3, in the year of our Lord 2026 — Global interactive entertainment brand HoYoverse announced today that the brand-new Version 4.4 of Honkai: Star Rail, In Ravages Does the Whistle Sound, will launch on July 15. This version will continue the story as Planarcadia faces a crisis that threatens its survival. The Trailblazer will confront the Lord Ravager Asat Pramad and engage in an epic battle. The second phase of the Honkai: Star Rail and Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] collaboration will also commence in this version. As another Holy Grail War begins, embark on a special chapter across the stars with Rin Tohsaka and Gilgamesh.

At the end of the previous chapter, the Lord Ravager Asat Pramad unveiled his disguise to reveal his true self and shattered the peace that had been sustained for fifteen years in Planarcadia. After the conflict broke out, Himeko vanished during her confrontation with Asat Pramad. Before she disappeared, she left behind a hidden clue related to the Express. In this version's story, the Trailblazer tracks down and deciphers the clue to locate Himeko. Asat Pramad's obsession with Himeko's identity and the truth from fifteen years ago may just be the key to unraveling his motive. Ultimately, the Trailblazer will face Asat Pramad in battle. Will Planarcadia survive this game of destruction threatening its existence?

In this decisive battle, Himeko will join the fight in her new form: Himeko • Nova. The banner for the 5-star character Himeko • Nova will last throughout the entire Version 4.4. Himeko • Nova is a Fire-Type character following the Path of Erudition. When the battle begins, she immediately deploys a Territory and summons the mech "Starblazer" to assist in battle. When using her Ultimate, she leads her teammates to pilot "Starblazer" and attack enemies. When the Territory is deployed, all teammates additionally gain the Assist Skill, and they can summon "Starblazer" at any time to attack all enemies. If a teammate is part of the Express Crew, they can also gain special effects. Additionally, when using her Technique during overworld exploration, Himeko • Nova can also pilot her mech, aim at and attack enemies within range from high above in the sky.

Planarcadia will also encounter an unexpected turn of events. After the end of the Fifth Holy Grail War, Rin Tohsaka embarks on a journey to another world and stumbles into Planarcadia as her magical energy runs out. In her desperation, she borrows the Holy Grail displayed as part of the Star Rail FEST collection showcase. She then attempts to summon a Servant and use the Holy Grail's power to leave this world. The overflowing Wishpower in this land restores the Holy Grail, and the King of Heroes Gilgamesh's treasures are scattered across the arcadia. A massive commotion breaks out as a result. Upon the request of the Department of Aberration Defense, the Trailblazer works with Rin Tohsaka to locate the treasures and uncover the truth behind the Imagenae: Holy Grail War. The special chapter and second phase of the Honkai: Star Rail and Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] collaboration officially begin on July 24. Please stay tuned.

As the Holy Grail War commences once more, Rin Tohsaka joins the team as a playable character. She is a 5-star Quantum-Type character following the Path of Erudition, skilled in using gems in battle. During combat, she gains a set amount of "Gem Energy" and deals multiple additional instances of DMG to a random target by consuming the "Gem Energy" she has. The more "Gem Energy" she consumes, the more instances of additional DMG she deals. When teammates consume or recover Skill Points, CRIT DMG also increases and Rin Tohsaka accumulates "Gem Energy."

Gilgamesh will also become a playable character. He is a 5-star Lightning-Type character following the Path of Destruction. After entering battle, each ally unit taking action can accumulate "Interest" for Gilgamesh, regenerate a set amount of Energy, and increase the DMG of his Ultimate. When accumulated "Interest" reaches its threshold, Gilgamesh unlocks his Skill and unleashes Gate of Babylon to fire weapons from his treasury, dealing multiple instances of DMG to enemies. When using his Ultimate, Gilgamesh summons Enuma Elish to deal massive DMG to all enemies.

From the start of the collaboration on July 24 until before Version 4.6 ends, Trailblazers can log into the game and claim Gilgamesh or Archer as one of the free limited 5-star collaboration characters, along with a portion of the corresponding upgrade materials for the character. The characters and Light Cones for this collaboration will be available long term, and the guarantee counts are shared between the Collaboration Character Warps of both phases. The same applies for the Collaboration Light Cone Warps. Spend a total of 200 Star Rail Special Passes in Version 4.4 to select and claim one of the limited 5-star collaboration Light Cone "I Am As You Behold" or "The Hell Where Ideals Burn" after the collaboration begins.

Limited 5-star characters Sparxie, Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae, and Evernight will return in the first half of this version for a limited time. Cerydra, Anaxa, and Aventurine will return to Warp banners in the second half of this version. During this version, Sparxie's new outfit "Candy-Coated Waves" will also be available. A new pet "Pentaflavor Emoti," Trailblaze Fashion "Fan-Made Lygus," and other new content will also be added in this version, bringing even more surprises to the journey.

Lastly, Version 4.4 will also offer a variety of new events and game modes. First up, players can log in to claim a 10-pull reward once the version goes live. After the version update, the collaboration event "Fate/Star Rail Night" will also unfold as the story progresses. The Trailblazer tracks down the king's treasures with Rin Tohsaka and gradually unravels the truth behind the Imagenae: Holy Grail War. In the version event "Antigraft Brickbuster," the Trailblazer takes on a request from Aventurine and launches an investigation into IPC corruption by stacking data bricks. Additionally, the permanent gameplay feature "Currency Wars: Zero-Sum Game" will be expanded and updated. Some system features will also be optimized.
