Family Friendly Gaming News
PITTSBURGH, PA – February 19, in the year of our Lord 2026
– Creative-first publisher Mega Cat Studios and Wisconsin-based
indie developer Exquisite Laundry Pet announced today that Gumball
in Trick-or-Treat Land is now available digitally on PC via Steam
and as a physical cartridge for the Game Boy Color.
“I'm thrilled to be launching Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land!” said
the game’s creator, Adam Lewis Graf. “It's been a labor of love and
was extremely fun to make. The Game Boy Color era is really special
to me, and I'm thrilled that we can keep the torch burning on that
particular flavor of retro all these years later.”
Inspired by the most memorable RPGs of the Super Nintendo and Game
Boy Color eras, Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land tells the story of a
gumball who, after rolling out of a vending machine’s chute, finds
himself trapped in Trick-or-Treat Land.
To find his way home, he’ll explore a strange and whimsical world,
face off against candy-coated characters in competitive
trick-or-treat battles, and master new abilities to overcome
puzzles. With 8 hours of adventure to chew your way through, it’s
sure to soothe your retro gaming sweet tooth.
To mark the occasion, Mega Cat Studios and Exquisite Laundry Pet
have released a launch trailer showcasing what players can expect as
they guide Gumball through this charming Halloween-themed land.
“I hope to scratch that nostalgia itch for people my age who grew up
during the late 90s and early 2000s,” Graf continued, “But I also
hope to provide an accessible entry point for the retro-RPG-curious
of all ages.”
