DEEP DIVER Demo

Family Friendly Gaming News

Samsun, Türkiye – June 3, in the year of our Lord 2026 – Indie developers PEGAX Studios and PlaySimulation Studio announce that the free playable demo for DEEP DIVER is set to be featured as part of the Bullet Heaven Festival on Steam.

The full version of DEEP DIVER is planned to launch in Q3 2026 on Steam, while the newly featured demo offers players an early chance to experience its oppressive underwater survival gameplay, oxygen-based progression mechanics, and relentless roguelike action.

DEEP DIVER is an underwater survival action roguelike where players descend into increasingly dangerous ocean depths while fighting enemy hordes, unlocking new abilities, and managing their most valuable resource: oxygen.

Set within a hostile and claustrophobic abyss, the game challenges players to survive as long as possible while balancing risk and progression. Every descent pushes players deeper into darkness, where visibility is limited, enemy threats become more aggressive, and survival depends on careful decision-making.

At the center of the experience is DEEP DIVER’s defining oxygen mechanic. Players must regularly return to the surface to refill their oxygen supply, but every breath taken permanently increases the game’s difficulty.

Each resurfacing causes enemies to become faster and more aggressive, introduces new enemy types, and escalates combat intensity and pacing.

This creates a constant tension between safety and progression. Staying underwater longer allows players to become stronger and discover better upgrades, but doing so dramatically increases the risk of being overwhelmed before reaching the surface again.

As runs progress, players unlock weapons, passive upgrades, abilities, and build combinations that allow for different playstyles and strategies. No two runs unfold the same way, encouraging experimentation and adaptation against constantly changing threats.

The demo, set to be featured during Steam Bullet Fest 2026, offers an early playable section showcasing the game’s core gameplay systems, oxygen survival mechanics, combat encounters, progression systems, and atmospheric world design.

The full game planned for Q3 2026 will expand upon the demo with additional enemies, environments, upgrades, abilities, and progression systems.

Inspired by survival action games and roguelike progression systems, DEEP DIVER combines reflex-based gameplay with strategic risk management, asking players a simple question: how long can you survive before the depths consume you?
