Code of Shadows Demo

–February 23, in the year of our Lord 2026– Indie game development
studio TillBlack has announced that the demo version of Code of
Shadows is available now in the context of the Steam Next Fest until
March 2. The game will be available on Steam in May 2026.
Code of Shadows drops players into collapsing dimensions overrun by
rift-spawned enemies. Guided by an AI entity called MoiAI, players
build a customizable drone army while fighting through increasingly
hostile realms.
What sets the game apart is control. Players can pause the
battlefield at any moment to plan upgrades, reposition drones, and
adapt their build mid-fight. Combat remains intense and real-time,
but survival depends on smart decisions under pressure.
Each run begins in a Safe Area hub before entering shifting portals.
While environments are handcrafted, enemy waves, modifiers, rewards,
and layouts are procedurally remixed every run. The structure stays
readable, but outcomes stay unpredictable.
The Steam Next Fest demo includes:
Build Your Drone Squad – Summon, upgrade, and command AI companions
to flank, shield, or blitz the swarm.
Player-Controlled Time – Stop the action at will: plan, breathe, or
clutch-upgrade mid-battle.
Roguelite Progression – Randomised enemies, rewards, and modifiers
ensure no two runs feel the same.
Procedural Dimensions – Each realm is algorithmically remixed for
infinite variety and escalating challenge.
MoiAI Hacking – Hijack portals, disable traps, and bend encounters
to your favour.
Epic Boss Encounters – Face world-guardian titans guarding the
answers you seek.
Stylised 3D Visuals – Atmospheric lighting, dynamic shadows, and
dramatic camera sweeps bring the darkness to life.
