June 9, in the year of our Lord 2025 – Independent
game development studio Microids has announced that the demo version
of Space Adventure Cobra - The Awakening is available now in the
context of the Steam Next Fest until June 16, 2025. The game will be
available on Steam on August 26, 2025.
Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening is a thrilling
action-platformer where you play as Cobra, the charismatic space
pirate, on a mission to uncover a mystery that could endanger the
universe. Alongside your partner, Lady Armaroid, and armed with your
iconic Psychogun, you’ll travel across exotic planets to rescue
three mysterious sisters pursued by the Space Pirate Guild.
Navigate trap-filled levels by running, jumping, and climbing with
Cobra’s enhanced abilities, using a wide arsenal including the Colt
Python 77, grappling hook, and cigar to outsmart enemies and defeat
powerful bosses. The game offers a rich story mode with three
difficulty levels and a two-player co-op option for an added layer
of challenge and fun.
Faithfully adapted from the first 12 episodes of the classic anime,
the game blends action, humor, and cinematic storytelling. Meet
