Family Friendly Gaming News
MADRID — Nov. 16, in the year of our Lord 2025 —
Golf 5, the gorgeous, physics-driven VR golf game developed by AAA
Game Studios, swings into stunning visual remasters and new gameplay
modes in the Playoff Edition update on Meta Quest, SteamVR, and Pico
4 today.
Step onto the newly remastered Golden Dunes, Forest Parkland, or
Tropical Paradise, as well as seven real-life tracks, for 9- and
18-hole matches. Tee off at Royal County Down, take in the historic
sights of St. Andrews Old Course, or recreate pivotal moments at the
many courses of The Open, all unlockable through play or via the
in-game store.
Playoff Edition adds all-new ways to play with friends online:
Fourball Mode, where 2-vs.-2 dueling duos only count the best team
member’s score
Flash 3 Holes Mode for bite-sized servings of competition on the
links
Scramble Mode, where the best swing of four players determines the
next shot
Feel confident in virtual and real-life shots with Golf 5’s High
Precision Control Physics engine, which analyzes dozens of data
points, including club speed, spin rate, and more, to determine
true-to-life results. Track honed-in skills over time with the XTi©
Pro Launch Manager, and put them to the test with skill-based online
matchmaking, designed alongside the International eGolf Federation.
Head to the driving range and putting green to work on short and
long game, and test skills across all shot types in Golf 5’s WIPP
(Wood, Iron, Pitch, Putt) Mode. Looking for some lighthearted
competition? Roll putts through wacky obstacles in Minigolf Mode.
Reach new heights in the online rankings to earn Callaway clubsets.
Pick a swing that feels natural with added left and right-hand swing
support for either controller, additional golf controller attachment
settings, and bug fixes to improve game stability. Relax between
rounds in the new, elegant, country club-like main menu.
“The accuracy of Golf 5 to real-life golf is a point of pride at
AAA, from its recreations of famous courses to the accuracy of the
High Precision Control Physics engine,“ said Antonio Marín, CEO and
co-founder of AAA Game Studios. “There’s a ton of new content for
both casual first-timers learning the ropes of golf, and there’s
enough depth to satisfy aficionados looking to set new course
records. We invite both groups to step onto the course!”
Golf 5 eClub’s Playoff Edition update is now available on SteamVR,
Meta Quest, and Pico 4 with English, Spanish, French, German,
Chinese, Korean, and Japanese language support.
