June 9, in the year of our Lord 2025 -- ALLEYSFIELD's street basketball game FREE DUNK will launch its CBT2 on June 18 at 7:00 PM PDT (UTC-7), six weeks after the first beta test concluded. Alongside official website registration, this test introduces Steam Playtest access—players may apply via the Steam store page or official site. The developers confirm CBT2 adds a new Team Mode while implementing feedback-driven upgrades to Arcade Mode, Custom Matches, and UI, aiming for a more polished experience.

“Unrestricted" Basketball: Forge Your Own Streetball Legacy

The soul of street basketball lies in limitless growth potential where nothing is predefined. From its inception, FREE DUNK games have championed this core vision—"Train Your Superstar. Own the Court!"—balancing free expression, personal progression, and competition. This philosophy is realized through the two key gameplays: PVE Arcade Mode and PVP Arena , empowering every player to become the architect of their superstar's legacy.

PVE Arcade Mode: Craft unique "Superstar" via custom growth paths, from point guard split-second direction changes to center box-out positioning. Every base attribute allocation and advanced skill unlock crafts a truly unique player template. Critically, this progression isn't just stat inflation. When designing combos like 'Fakeout Drive into Step-back Three', players must refine operational precision through iterative training drills. This mirrors real-world stars grinding signature moves into muscle memory.

PVP Arena: Where Teamplay Meets Individual Brilliance

In intense 3v3 matches, command your homegrown stars to deliver game, changing plays with hard-earned skills—thread needle-sharp assists in clutch moments or drain game-winning threes when scores are tied. Rise through the upcoming developer-hosted collaborative tournaments to the Global Finals stage, battling world-class opponents in elite showdowns that define competitive greatness.

Arcade Mode Upgrades: Three Key Innovations Elevate Progression System

The developer asserts: "Streetball's magic stems from hard-earned moments of breakthrough." CBT2 will revamp the progression experience through mechanical innovation, transforming every training session into a stride toward StreetKing.

1. Dual-Track Leaderboard System: Quantifying Player Performance

-Dual leaderboard:

All player high points leaderboard: Tracks your versatility across all athletes
Individual player high points leaderboard: Charts your signature star's exclusive growth arc

-Multi-factor scoring: Integrates win rates, team contribution, titles earned, and stats with challenge bonuses (e.g., "No-Death Clear"). Precisely quantifies technical mastery.

-Hourly ranking updates + quarterly resets: Rewards include profile badges and limited avatar customizations – ensuring every grind gets recognized.

2. Tiered Honor System: Milestone-Driven Progression

From "Player Mastery" to "StreetKing,” forge your honor path:

-Player-Exclusive Honors: Complete character-bound challenges (stage clears/PVP matches) to unlock medals like "Player Mastery" and "Signature Move."

-Career Achievement Honors: Collect stat-based crowns ("Scoring King", "Three-Point King", "Block King") to ascend career milestones.

-Glory Title Coronation: Achieve elite feats to claim server-exclusive "StreetKing" titles (featuring player's name), becoming the server's skill benchmark.

3. Nonstop Glory: Top 3 Best-performed Player of Stage by Real-time Display

Each stage page showcases the server's top 3 best-performed players. This is where streetball legacies forge—every breakthrough instantly etches your name in history.
Team System Debuts: Multi-Lineup Strategy & Progression

CBT2 will introduce the brand-new Lineup System, offering richer lineup management and progression. It replaces Captain Mode and Team Control Mode, letting players assign athletes to squads and gradually unlock up to three independent lineups-all with custom names and icons.

Participating in Team Mode matches earns Team XP to increase squad level, unlocking additional lineup slots and deepening tactical flexibility. Simultaneously, the Team System introduces a Badge Progression mechanism: Badges categorized as Offensive, Organizational, and Defensive types can be equipped into dedicated squad slots to boost player abilities. Each lineup supports independent badge deployment to ensure personalized strategy. Badges of various rarities and levels won through team-match establish new progressive goals and strategic choices.

In CBT2, the Custom Match system takes a pivotal leap toward "player co-creation":

1. Password-protected Rooms: enable full customization of court aesthetics, match duration, and victory conditions—letting players host "street league" or private tournaments with friends.

2. One-Click Team Quick Recruit: resolves matchmaking friction while paving the way for a future "Match Editor" that grants players authority over spectator systems and reward frameworks and truly delivering "My court, my rules."
UI Overhaul: From Functionality to Immersion

CBT2 will address top UI/operation feedback from the first beta with key optimizations:

-Player skins now support 360° seamless preview in the lobby, with all styling details visible at a glance.

-The player progression interface logic has been optimized for more intuitive information display and smoother, uninterrupted operation.

-Rookie Journey and mission guidance have been fully iterated to help new players quickly grasp player skills and gameplay mechanics.

Beyond the Test: Co-Authoring Streetball's Next Era

"FREE DUNK is evolving—CBT2 isn't the finale, but a launchpad for player co-creation," states ALLEYSFIELD. The team explicitly rejects instant-gratification competitive models, actively soliciting CBT2 feedback via the official Discord, customer service mail, and social channels. Player input will directly steer future development.
