Danger Mouse Video Game Announced

MELBOURNE, Australia – 24 September in the year of our Lord 2025 – Art of Play Interactive, in cooperation with Boat Rocker Studios, is developing an all-new Danger Mouse game, for a 3rd quarter 2026 release on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation.

A 45-Year Legacy
The British animated television series first aired in 1981 with the reboot, a coproduction from Boat Rocker Studios and BBC Children’s and Education, hitting screens in 2015 (and currently available on multiple streaming platforms internationally). Nearly half a century after Danger Mouse’s creation, game development studio Art of Play is bringing the world’s greatest secret agent to PC and console. In partnership with Boat Rocker Studios, the project combines traditional visual styling and classic side-scrolling action-adventure mechanics to create an authentic homage to this beloved character. To capture this aesthetic, Art of Play has led the artistic development of the game, presenting a completely hand-drawn and painted art style to honour the original series’ animated origins. Boat Rocker Studios owns the intellectual property rights to Danger Mouse and distributes the classic and rebooted series globally, with BBC holding the television rights to the rebooted series in the UK/Eire.

Classic Heroes And Dangerous Villains
Danger Mouse is an arcade-style action-adventure game coming to PC and consoles. Play as Danger Mouse or his earnest and reluctant assistant, Penfold, in this 15-level adventure. Legendary epic supervillain Baron Greenback has fallen on hard times. Feeling nostalgic for the bad old days, Greenback launches his boldest evil plan yet, forcing Danger Mouse and Penfold to re-live all their epic encounters.. Experience this brand-new addition to the canon through full-screen cut scenes and captivating in-game visuals, hand-illustrated and animated frame-by-frame by seasoned artists and Art Of Play’s dedicated in-house 2D creative team.
