Club Koala Set for PC Testing

April 18th, in the year of our Lord 2024 – Owned by Kunlun Tech Group, game developer Play for Fun Studio launches an alpha test of its independent game 'Club Koala,' exclusively available on PC, ushering in a fresh wave of excitement. This pioneering game, celebrated as this year’s first Animal Crossing-like island-building and party game, now invites English-speaking players to a uniquely immersive experience on Steam.

Exclusive PC Release

Highlighting a strategic decision, "Club Koala" has launched its testing version solely on PC. This approach allows for a refined focus on leveraging the powerful capabilities of PC gaming, enhancing graphical fidelity and gameplay smoothness.

First Look at "Club Koala"

Dive into the heart of "Club Koala" with its first public alpha test, revealing a suite of enchanting features:

Dynamic Mini-Games: Central to this test are the mini-games that shine with smooth gameplay and stunning visuals. While the number of maps is limited, their high quality ensures a delightful and engaging gaming experience.

Innovative Game Scene Map and Editor: Players are introduced to an innovative mini-game editor designed for easy, modular editing. The game not only offers a broad selection of pre-made maps but also empowers players to craft their own, enhancing the creative freedom within the game universe.

Expanding the Game Universe

"Club Koala" is not just about fun and games; it also introduces robust building elements with:

Social and Home Islands: This test unveils the 'Social Island' and a prototype 'Home Island' with building attributes, where players can construct and customize their space freely. Though the official test features only a limited selection of items, the groundwork is laid for future social interactions and expansive user-generated content (UGC) opportunities on these islands.

UGC Market Plans and Community Engagement

The game will launch more User-Generated Content (UGC) market plans, where players not only receive rewards but also actively decide the game world’s development trajectory. This unique UGC strategy empowers players to become true masters of their game world, making their gaming experience feel novel, warm, and memorable.

Active Community and Upcoming Features

"Club Koala" boasts an active Discord community that will serve as the main platform for player interaction. While the much-anticipated AI NPC features are still under development and not the main highlight of this test, players can expect more details in future updates.

By integrating building, partying, and strategic gameplay into a seamless experience, "Club Koala" is set to carve its niche in the gaming landscape as a cherished gem.

Developer's Note

"The full version of 'Club Koala' is built around AI-Powered spaces for player-generated content (UGC), encompassing a broad spectrum of content—from major gameplay components to subtle artistic nuances—all of which are under rigorous development. The current testing phase offers players a sneak peek at the foundational framework, with many more surprises yet to come. Our aim is to provide a sense of belonging and emotional support to players from diverse ages, backgrounds, and nationalities. Additionally, we are committed to enhancing the tools available to creators, affording them even greater creative freedom."
