Nintendo Direct 11-13-2013

Nov. 13, in the year of our Lord 2013 -- Man gets into an elevator with a woman already in there. Intercom in the elevator asks for Bill. Reggie is the one asking for him. Bill says: “they are kicking off the show.” The woman runs out of the elevator totally freaked out by their weirdness. Camera goes to Reggie Fils-Aime, and he starts talking about Zelda A Link to the Past. He talks about Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds, and its launch on November 22, 2013. A brand new trailer is shown. Typical Zelda violence. The merging with a wall is shown. Streetpass to battle Shadow Link. We get to "save" two kingdoms. Reggie comes back to show the latest model of the Nintendo 3DS XL. He advertises this package and its custom golden Zelda theme design. The system/game bundle comes out November 22 as well.

Bill Trinen from Treehouse is back. He shows off a Zelda plush toy, and plugs an advertisement for a Nintendo page. He talks about a witch in Zelda A Link Between Worlds. The witch will help you travel around the world easier. Seres is another character talked about. She looks like an occult leader. Milk Bar Owner is also shown off in a video. Milk is a part of a side quest. Gramps is shown next. He opens up special battles for Streetpass. Release date is plugged yet again.

Mario Party Island Tour is up next. It also comes out on November 22nd. This game is looking awesome on the Nintendo 3DS. Only one game cartridge to play with four 3DS's. A single player mode for Mini Game Tower is shown. Every five floors there are bosses to fight. Streetpass mini games allow 10 Streetpass tags.

Bravely Default is up next. This RPG is shown in a new video. Features Brave and Default are shown. Brave points are saved and then spent to quickly beat enemies. Time can be frozen in this game as well. Sleep points can also be built if you keep the game in sleep mode. Customization is a big part of the game. Square Enix has made an epic RPG game. Releases on February 7, 2014. This game will be rated 'T' for THIRTEEN and older only. A collectors edition was plugged.

The second trilogy of Professor Layton will conclude in Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. Layton, Luke, and Emmy go across the world to find out about a Mummy. Story and brain teasers continue this hand held game. Level 5 did a good job with this game hat releases on February 28, 2014.

Nintendo Zone update is now being discussed. Exclusive spotpass content will continue to be released. Animal Crossing content was shown, as well as additional games.

A Nintendo 3DS system update is talked about. Customers want to combine Wii U and Nintendo 3DS balances. This will allow families to combine their balances on both systems. Nintendo Network will continue to improve going forward. Miiverse will appear on the Nintendo 3DS going forward as well. Registration will require a few steps. Youtube will appear on Nintendo 3DS as well. Watch a video on the top screen, and search for videos on the bottom screen at the same time. The Wii U version of Youtube will receive an update. Watch a video on the TV, and search on the Wii U Gamepad.

Pikmin 3 additional DLC is being discussed. Rounds 1, and 2 were discussed. A video of Round 3 is shown since it is new levels. Captain Olimar is shown, and you can to find Louie somewhere in the level. Find him and you can play with him. December 2nd is when eight new stages are available.

Animal Crossing Plaza is now being talked about. A software update is coming. Stamps will appear on Miiverse. Stamps can be modified if you so choose. Stamps will be coming for future titles as well. A ranking feature is being added to Animal Crossing Plaza as well. Based on trivia questions. Resident Registration is also being added. Move and Delete multiple pictures, and save pictures. It will be available later this evening.

Back to Reggie. He is now promoting indie games. He shows a video of indie games. Games we have seen before, and covered. Reggie is back again to plug sales going on at the eShop. Nintendo eShop cards are now being advertised. He also asks people to take their Nintendo 3DS hand held devices out with them on Black Friday.

Super Mario 3D World is now being shown. Looking awesome in a new video. This Wii U game also comes out on November 22, 2013. He shows ten new things in this home console game. Touch screen and microphone interaction, golden express stage, captain toad levels, speed run levels, mystery houses, motley boss blob, top down shooter stage, kart-style stage, unlockable bonus game, and unlockable fifth character Rosalina. Reggie plugs the unlockable bonus game. If you have a New Super Luigi U game save.
