Xbox Game Pass Gets Bad
Family Friendly Gaming News
Cordova, TN; March 16, in the year of our Lord 2026
-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of
diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. For many
years Peter paid for and enjoyed Xbox Game Pass. The prices kept
getting higher and higher. At this point it was no longer worth
it. The highest and best tier for Xbox GamePass is $359.88 a
year. The highest tier on PlayStation is $159.99 a year. For the
three hundred and almost sixty dollars we can easily purchase
the games we want to play. In fact we spend less than that a
year on Xbox games.
I am so glad that I purchased a physical copy of Disney
Dreamlight Valley on Xbox Series X. Initially we got that game
through Xbox Game Pass. Three hundred and sixty dollars for one
game is insane. I think we only spent thirty dollars on a
physical copy of Disney Dreamlight Valley. Another reason why
physical copies are so much better. Pay for the game one time
and use it as long as you like. Instead of paying hundreds a
year every single year. I am very disappointed that Microsoft
chose this path. This reinforces to me the importance of
physical copy versions of games.
I hope more of my fellow gamers look at the financial
ramifications of their decisions. If everyone said no thanks to
Xbox Game Pass I am sure prices would come back down. If more
people told these companies we want physical copies then we
would get them. Recently I made that opinion known the Discord
channel for Disney Dreamlight Valley. We want the DLC to come to
a physical format. We will not purchase it digitally. They know
they are losing sales. Hopefully they will listen and provide
pretty soon. Microsoft should also know that we have been moving
away from their platform and purchasing more games on
PlayStation. They are really harming their image.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
God bless,
