Taxi Chaos 2 Releases Digitally
Family Friendly Gaming News
Assen, Netherlands / Swansea, Wales, – January 19, in the year
of our Lord 2026 – Current Games, an indie publisher
based in the Netherlands, announced today a whole bunch of chaos
coming your way, as Taxi Chaos 2, the manic new arcade-style
racer, speeds onto PlayStation®5 via digital download today! But
don’t hit the brakes just yet, there’s more gas in the tank, as
Curveball Games, a market-leading worldwide distributor and
publisher of video games, are embracing the chaos in the best
possible way, announcing physical copies of the game for
PlayStation 5 and Nintendo® Switch™, coming later this spring,
with pre-orders opening today!
Developed by Focuspoint Studios, the smash-hit sequel to the
original taxi-based arcade racer, is already available via
digital download on Steam, Nintendo Switch and Xbox, but
starting today, PS5 owners can strap in for an
adrenaline-charged trip around sunny San Valeda, with the game
being available for download today!
“Fare enough” you might say, but in a momentous moment for
cab-based-chaos, PS5 and Switch fans living in the UK, EU or USA
and yearning for a physical piece of the action, can pre-order
the game on disc or Game Card, courtesy of Curveball Games,
starting today, and expecting to ship from spring this year.
Gamers are invited to hail down Vinny and Cleo, the last
remaining human cab drivers in town, as they buckle up for an
unforgettable ride around town. Try not to let the swarms of
rival A.I. taxis and the endless string of military grade
vehicles put you off as you speed around town, battling for
dominance in the ultimate man vs machine race off!
Check out the features of Taxi Chaos 2!
Deliver Under Pressure - Your shift hours are limited, so every
run counts. Rush point-to-point for fast cash, or take riskier
fares with fragile cargo, hazardous routes, or oversized loads
for a larger payout. Some jobs even change how your vehicle
handles, from extra weight to rockets bolted to the trunk!
Adapt to the Ever-Changing City - The streets never stay the
same. Roadworks, hazardous fog, restricted TaxiBot zones and
more can block your way, while abilities can unlock shortcuts
and open new options. Every shift brings new obstacles and
opportunities…
Outdrive the TaxiBots – A.I. taxis ram, block, and disrupt your
runs, growing more aggressive as you progress. Avoid them to
keep your route clean or confront them to clear the way.
Drive with Style - Your cab reflects your driving style. Pick
from Heavy, Sport or Drift vehicles, each tuned for responsive
arcade driving. Heavy plows through chaos, Sport focuses on
speed, and Drift carries momentum through turns. Personalize
your ride with cosmetic customizations.
Power Up Your Cab - Discover new abilities and equip them to
match your approach. Utility skills help you access shortcuts or
navigate hazards, while combat skills hit back at your TaxiBot
rivals.
Play Your Way - Take on the campaign in Story Mode with rising
challenges or jump into Arcade Mode for quick runs built for
chasing high scores and climbing the leaderboards.
Andrew Nauton, CCO of Curveball Games commented on the exciting
opportunity to bring Taxi Chaos 2 to physical, “As an ardent fan
of arcade racers, so prevalent in the glory days of the arcade,
Taxi Chaos 2 was a project we at Curveball Games
enthusiastically raced to deliver for lovers of physical media.
We are delighted to bring this fast, super-sharp action arcade
racer to PlayStation 5 and Switch gamers later this year”.
In addition to digital downloads already available, Taxi Chaos 2
will be coming to the Epic Store soon.
Physical copies of Taxi Chaos 2 on PlayStation 5 or Nintendo
Switch, are available to order today from all leading video game
retailers.
