Perspective is Everything

Family Friendly Gaming News

Cordova, TN; September 21, in the year of our Lord 2026 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I am constantly researching a plethora of different topics for Family Friendly Gaming. My brain is constantly analyzing things. This is most likely apparent to anyone that spends much time reading the FFG Original news articles. Something came to me recently. It may have come to be before. Perspective is Everything. The more I dwell on that the more it makes perfect sense to me.

I read this article about two people at Gamescom. One person dealt with higher ups at major extremely large video game companies. The second person worked with small to mid sized developers and publishers. The never ending mistakes by Sony was the topic of the day. The person that dealt with the major extremely large video game companies had nothing to say about the disastrous and hateful decision by Sony to viciously and hatefully attack physical copies in the year of our Lord 2028. The person that dealt with the smaller and mid sized developers had a ton to say about this topic. In fact the small and mid sized developers relayed their anger at Sony over such a major blunder.

The perspective here is important. The extremely large video game companies have really large marketing budgets. They can make sure their games are on the first page of the PlayStation store. They will get their money. They will make their sales. The small and mid sized companies do not have big budgets. A person that walks by and sees their game in a physical store is a free advertisement for them. They make their sales of off people that see their game in a store and decide to give them some attention. They get lost in online and digital stores. They get ignored and miss out on potential sales. The digital stores are already rigged against them. They are already struggling to stay alive. Sony has attacked them in a way that will send them to Nintendo and Microsoft.

Notice how I framed things in this article? Notice how the perspective is very important? The opinions can be swayed by the perspective alone. Sony has shown they want to alienate a substantial section of their fanbase. Sony has proven they do not want our money anymore. Sony has shown they did not support video game preservation. From my perspective Sony has shown they do not want to be in the gaming industry anymore. This was the first step in their exit from the video game industry. All I have to say to that is: "Bye Felicia."

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
