Offline Continues to be BETTER

Family Friendly Gaming News

Cordova, TN; August 10, in the year of our Lord 2026 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I am writing this article as Xbox had a really long outage. All kinds of players were not able to play their games online. My immediate reaction and my immediate thought was - offline continues to be better. For decades I encouraged physical copy and offline games. I continue to do that.

I know this is a bit of: "I told you so." Recently Sony made all kinds of waves with a controversial and highly divisive decision to stop physical copies in 2028. Sony has had plenty of online outages as well. Different companies drop their streaming services and games. Which means you cannot use what you paid for. Having offline and physical copies means you get to keep using what you paid for whenever the companies decides to stop paying for servers. Or they want to allocate the servers to something else. How many times has Sony been hacked? Not one of my offline games has ever been hacked.

I will continue to encourage and promote offline game play experiences. Every single time these services drop I will just sit there and smile. I enjoy the single player offline experience. I enjoy local multiplayer. I do not stress when online services drop. I can keep playing my offline games. My hope is that these latest outages will open some eyes. Maybe when some people read this article they will acknowledge this truth and this reality. Maybe some of my fellow gamers will prepare for the outages by buying more offline games.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
