NosTale Celebrates 19 Years

Family Friendly Gaming News

Karlsruhe, Germany (October 7, in the year of our Lord 2026) | Gameforge, a leading publisher of popular free-to-play online games, today launched 19th anniversary celebrations for its anime MMORPG, NosTale. Players can experience a new content update, limited-time community events, anniversary rewards, and quality-of-life improvements designed to make character progression more convenient.

“Nineteen years is an incredible milestone, but what inspires us even more is the passion of the millions of players who continue to make NosTale feel alive every single day,” said Nyoka, Senior Product Manager for NosTale at Gameforge. “Watching our community welcome new adventurers while long-time players continue creating memories together is something we’re deeply grateful for. This anniversary is our way of celebrating them with meaningful new content, and it’s only the beginning. We’re already looking forward to celebrating an even bigger milestone with everyone as NosTale approaches its 20th anniversary and beyond.”

“We sincerely thank all our players, from those who have stayed with us consistently to those who have recently started. We will always do our best,” said Bernard Kim, Vice President at Entwell. “Even after such a long time, the interest, love, and support for NosTale from our players around the world have never ceased, and thanks to that, we have gained the strength and inspiration to create even more stories. We cherish the countless memories and passions of our users that are embedded in NosTale above all else, and we look forward to continuing to build NosTale together with you for a long time to come."

That enduring relationship between NosTale and its international community remains central to the game’s continuing evolution. Nearly two decades after its launch, NosTale continues to grow through new content and ongoing support. The anniversary update expands one of the game’s established family progression systems, introduces new convenience features, and offers players a variety of ways to celebrate together throughout October.

Descend Deeper into the Celestial Spire Catacombs

The Celestial Spire Catacombs have been expanded from 20 to 30 stages, providing established families with a challenging new long-term progression goal.
The extension introduces ten additional stages, two new map variants, and distinct visual treatments for stages 21 to 25 and 26 to 30. Players can also complete six new daily and monthly family missions, unlock additional family-wide combat and progression bonuses, and earn rebalanced stage rewards.

Adjustments have also been made to the existing stages, offering families a refreshed and more rewarding experience as they work together to reach the bottom of the tower.

New Quality-of-Life Improvements

The anniversary update also introduces automatic betting and upgrading features that reduce repetitive manual actions and make equipment progression more convenient.
Players can define a target rarity when changing the rarity level on equipment, with the process stopping automatically once the selected rarity is reached or the required materials have been depleted.

Automatic upgrade attempts are also available for equipment and specialist cards. The process will stop following a successful upgrade or when the player no longer has sufficient materials.

These additions are designed to streamline familiar progression systems while giving players greater control over how they use their time and resources.

Celebrate with 19 Days of Anniversary Rewards

From October 7 until October 28, players can claim a series of birthday-themed rewards through the anniversary login calendar.

The calendar features 19 reward chests, one for each year of NosTale’s journey, giving adventurers another reason to return throughout the celebrations.

Join the Great Collectors’ Event

The Great Collectors’ Event also runs from October 7 until October 28.

During the event, players can defeat monsters to collect anniversary-themed letters and special items. These can be consumed or exchanged for useful buffs and a limited anniversary medal offering temporary bonuses to character, pet, and partner experience, as well as attack and defence.

The activity returns in a refreshed form after originally appearing as part of NosTale’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

Take on the Returning Grasslin Raid

From October 7 until October 16, groups of up to 15 players can enter the returning Grasslin Raid.

Participants must face two Giant Grasslins while managing additional enemies and avoiding powerful area attacks. Successful groups can earn seasonal rewards, including the Grasslin Fairy pet, Bamboo, and other event-exclusive items.

With new stages to conquer, progression improvements to explore, and anniversary activities taking place throughout October, NosTale’s 19th anniversary celebrates more than the game’s history. It reflects the continued evolution of one of the longest-running anime MMORPGs still actively operated and expanded in the West as it approaches its second decade.
