Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of
diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I acknowledge
that there are younger gamers without my decades of experience.
I realize there are newer gamers to Family Friendly Gaming. I
admit that not everyone is going to want to go through decades
of work we have done here at Family Friendly Gaming. When
someone complained I had thousands of video games, and DVDs (TV
Shows and Movies) my initial reaction was of course. Do you know
how and why I compiled these collections?
I have been buying video games for forty years now. I have been
buying DVDs and Blurays for twenty years. I decided to spend the
same amount of money on movies and television shows that we were
spending decades ago on cable or satellite TV. We then owned the
shows and movies and could watch them whenever we wanted.
Instead of paying for essentially nothing. Now these companies
like Sony are removing digital downloads. A definite reason to
purchase physical copies. I understand younger gamers will not
have this kind of a library yet.
Think about it like this. You can pay Netflix, Paramount+,
Disney+ and so on to watch content. Of you can buy physical
copies with that money and grow your own library. Then you can
go back and watch whatever you own whenever you want to. You can
skip parts, or rewatch them. It takes time to build the library.
You must think in terms of the long haul. You must have a
patience for this system. I feel it is worth the time and money
to have more control over this than the companies who can take
it away at any point in time. I strongly encourage all of the
families reading this to think about the long term.
