Echo Generation 2 Release Date

May
6, in the year of our Lord 2026 -- Cococucumber is
taking part in the Steam Deckbuilders Fest 2026 with Echo
Generation 2, its upcoming sci-fi deckbuilding RPG set to
release on May 27th on PC via Steam and Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on
PC, Cloud and day one with Xbox Game Pass. As part of the event,
the studio has shared a more in-depth look at the deckbuilding
feature in the form of a combat gameplay teaser video.
The Echo Generation 2 demo is still available on both Steam and
Xbox, where it has above 90% Positive community reviews, and
ranked second in "Popular Upcoming" for turn-based combat and
deckbuilding genres in February’s Steam Next Fest.
With the addition of interconnected character-driven chapters
filling distinct roles the combat itself is all about finding
synergies between them.
Jack focuses on the long game and setting up status effects for
his allies while Bulder lives for the tried and true method of
“high risk, high reward”. His cards focus on burst DPS which is
amplified the lower his health gets.
Noliva’s approach is more calculated as she delivers powerful
single-target damage through careful card sequencing and stance
switching. Her loyal companion Strix is the perfect addition to
her playstyle with his focus on turning enemy debuffs into team
buffs. This way his card combinations can create a powerful
momentum in tandem with Noliva’s DPS.
Annata Z fills a durable, status-spreading tank role where she
not only absorbs incoming damage but can also distribute
powerful status debuffs to enemies.
Sister M has high multi-target damage and a wide spread of
status effects which helps with crowd control and synergizes
well with characters who benefit from status heavy gameplay.
The deckbuilding feature is the natural evolution of the
intuitive and strategic combat that made the first Echo
Generation stand out so much. The wide range of individual
playstyle possibilities with over 150 cards for defense, offense
and utility offers players a unique strategic gameplay
experience.
