Deck & Conn Announced
Family Friendly Gaming News
August 17, in the year of our Lord 2026 - Take command,
Captain. Deck & Conn, the turn-based space tactics game inspired
by classic computer games and Cold War naval warfare, will
launch for PC via Steam on September 1, 2026. This game comes
from MicroProse.
A new release date teaser offers a fresh look at the game’s
distinctive low-tech vision of space warfare, where victory
depends not on reflexes, but on information, preparation, and
command.
Set in a future imagined through the technology of 1989, Deck &
Conn places players aboard a nuclear-powered corvette fighting
an endless war among the stars. Read coded orders, interpret
incomplete sensor reports, allocate limited power, manage the
ship and its crew, and make tactical decisions through an array
of authentic retro terminals and instruments.
KEY FEATURES
Command from the captain’s chair - Navigate sectors, identify
unknown contacts, select targets, load weapons, and issue orders
through detailed shipboard interfaces.
Keep the ship operational - Balance reactor output, batteries,
fuel, sensors, communications, propulsion, weapons, and other
essential systems with limited resources.
Fight through a dynamic campaign - Undertake war patrols,
respond to distress calls, receive priority orders from HQ, and
shape the continuing history of your ship.
Manage your vessel and crew - Promote crew members, improve the
corvette, and prepare both for increasingly dangerous
assignments.
Choose how to engage - Track hostile vessels, target critical
systems, and decide whether enemy ships should be captured or
destroyed.
Take on standalone scenarios - Test your command abilities in
individual combat engagements outside the main campaign.
Experience a retro future - Explore a richly atmospheric world
of pixel art, CRT displays, coded communications, military
bureaucracy, and Cold War technology carried into space.
