Black Hole Fishing Release Date

Family Friendly Gaming News

Los Angeles, California – February 17, in the year of our Lord 2026 – SDG Games announces Black Hole Fishing will launch on Steam April 7, a game that wastes no time turning fishing into a small business powered by a cosmic anomaly. You start out the sensible way: throwing rocks at fish in a pond. It works about as well as you would expect. Then a strangely enthusiastic fisherman wanders over, insists he has a better way, and casually drops a black hole into the water before you can ask your many follow-up questions. The fish start getting pulled into the void, and you collect the baffling result: money.

From there, Black Hole Fishing scales fast. What begins as a chaotic experiment turns into a layered incremental fish-fest, replete with automation, compounding upgrades, and systems feeding into one another. Players research and inject traits, breed optimized specimens, and eventually might even unlock the Large Halibut Collider™ to smash fish together for… financial reasons.

And while Black Hole Fishing is playful, it also keeps a little mystery in its back pocket. Ted Herring, who gave you the black hole, keeps selling you the tools to scale. The better you get at the job though, the more the arrangement starts to look larger than a pond-side hustle. As you climb from customer to partner, the game begins to tease what the black hole is connected to and why the payouts keep improving.
