Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of
diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. There are
times I wish we could be more agile. There are times I wish we
had the time and financial resources to get many of the topics
out the same day. I accept where we are. I accept what we have
to work with. I do get a little smile when I am proven right yet
again. Ya’ll know about the major controversy surrounding Sony
PlayStation and wanting to stop publishing physical copies
right? Well others are already stepping up.
If you read the news stories we publish here at Family Friendly
Gaming you will notice that there is a new physical copy
initiative happening on PC for indie game developers. The
interesting points this company made resonated with me. For
example - the digital stores are getting crowded and it’s hard
to get any attention. Which means a loss of sales for these
companies. That sounds like a major problem. Another issue this
company talked about is something I also discussed - games can
be removed at any time.
Want to keep a copy of your game forever? Want to be able to
make sales at a trade show right then and there? Physical copies
are the path to success. I cannot help but laugh and smile as
others are pointing out the problems with digital stores only.
It warms my heart to see more companies providing the physical
copies that so many of us consumers want. It is nice to see that
my predictions were right yet again. Thank you for your
continued trust and support.
