Alice Nation Release Date
Family Friendly Gaming News
September 14, in the year of our Lord 2026 -- Publisher
2P Games and developer Hanamiriro proudly announce that Alice
Nation, a whimsical tabletop roleplaying adventure, will release
on Steam on October 16 with a price of $7.99 / £7.15 / €8,15 and
a 10% launch discount available for its first 14 days.
Alice Nation will throw players down the hole into an enchanting
world made of cards where not everything is what it seems,
challenging them to solve puzzles, collect resources, meet
eccentric companions, and explore the mysterious land, The
Beyond, seeking a way back to the real world.
Players will follow the steps of Alice, a quiet girl who
suddenly wakes up in The Beyond, as she tries to find a way back
to reality. A narrative that will unfold on the tabletop through
card interactions: drawing action cards, managing inventory
items, exploring unfolding landscapes, trading with quirky
locals and facing hostile encounters.
Inspired by titles such as Cultist Simulator or Stacklands,
Alice Nation encourages players to think outside the box and
explore card combinations that might not be evident at first
sight. Combats can be handled in many different ways: whether to
observe calmly, exchange pleasantries, or deliver a swift elbow
strike yields completely different outcomes.
Choosing whether to observe calmly, exchange pleasantries, or
deliver a swift elbow strike yields completely different
outcomes. Players can synthesize bizarre tools through trial and
error, slip hallucinogenic mushrooms to an unsuspecting
merchant, cheat in playful minigames, or pickpocket key items
straight out of a boss encounter. Should players ever find
themselves stuck, a guiding butterfly by the task bar gently
shows the way.
Yet, behind the soft, pastel anime aesthetics lies a creeping
mystery. What truly happened to Alice and who is the girl
trapped within the fragile fantasy?
KEY FEATURES
A story that unfolds through card narrative. Every scene,
action, character and item is represented as a card on a
tabletop board. Players will advance in the narrative by
dragging and dropping cards to explore the land, rummage for
resources, solve puzzles and overcome enemies.
Experimenting will deliver unexpected outcomes. Instead of a
rigid card combat system, Alice Nation rewards players
creativity and mischievous behaviour. Slip hallucinogenic
mushrooms to an eccentric merchant, cheat in playful minigames,
or pickpocket key items straight out of a boss encounter.
Progress through alchemy and guiding butterflies. Combine cards
to synthesize tools, spend skill points to unlock new ability
cards. If players ever feel lost, there will be a fluttering
butterfly pointing out the way on the task bar.
An unsettling narrative shift. Behind the gentle visual and
pastel colours, lies a creeping psychological mystery. When the
cheerful fairy-tale facade cracks, distorted dimensions emerge,
shadows loom and reality begins to blur.
