Sympathy for the Bankrupt Video Game Companies

Family Friendly Gaming News

Cordova, TN; June 23, in the year of our Lord 2025 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I am really struggling with a tale of two cities in the video game industry. First and foremost there are people that lost their jobs and are losing their jobs because certain video game companies do not manage things properly. When the pandemic hit and all these video game companies were rolling in dough they did not properly prepare for lean times. Instead they went on spending sprees. Why aren't those people being punished? It is always the workers that pay the price for bad company leadership.

I have seen video game companies act horrible, be rude, be hateful, have bad leadership, spend like crazy, and worse. Yet these companies bounce back and all of sudden they are fine. THQ went bankrupt and got bailed out by Nordic. Atlus was going bankrupt and got saved by Sega. Team17 was on the brink and restructured. SNK went bankrupt multiple times and keeps coming back. Atari has gone bankrupt a lot and also keeps coming back. How is it these companies repeat the same mistakes again and again? How is it these companies are given opportunity after opportunity to keep failing? How many have been stiffed by these companies? Why would any investor trust them going forward? How hard is it to do the right thing and produce products that will sell? Maybe they should stop shoving digital downloads down the throats of gamers.

What bothers me deeply is these video game companies enacting massive layoffs with one hand, and then bragging about their profits in another hand. If you have all this money why are you letting people go? I find it hard to believe you are hurting for money when you brag about all of your sales. For me it is just another excuse for them to not advertise. They don't have the budget they say. Then they brag about making three hundred million dollars profit in a year. That means you have a few hundred dollars to advertise with Family Friendly Gaming. Unless they are just greedy, selfish liars. What do you think they are? Because at the end of the day they rarely help out Family Friendly Gaming.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
