Survival Kids Launches

Family Friendly Gaming News

LOS ANGELES – June 5, in the year of our Lord 2025 – Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. (KONAMI) and Unity have today launched Survival Kids, a wholesome co-op adventure available exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Players will be able to band together in local or online multiplayer to explore mysterious environments, overcome collaborative challenges, and unlock the secrets in vibrant locations perched atop roaming Whurtles.

Survival Kids was built from the ground up as a shared adventure with many ways to play multiplayer including full support for the Nintendo Switch 2’s innovative social features.

Whether teaming up in local split-screen, linking two additional consoles via GameShare, or chatting across the world using GameChat, the experience is better together. However you choose to play, it’s a light-hearted survival game where communication and teamwork are key with flexible co-op modes that mean players can choose to jump in for a quick session or settle in for a longer adventure.

GameShare allows Nintendo Switch 2 owners to invite up to two additional players to join their game via a local wireless connection – using just one copy of Survival Kids. These guest players can be on either Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, making it easy to share the adventure without everyone needing their own copy*.

GameChat further enhances multiplayer sessions by enabling players to communicate using the system’s built-in microphone. Those with a Nintendo Switch 2 Camera can even share live video, which appears in the in-game player indicator UI – making teamwork more personal and immersive.

Survival Kids blends environmental obstacles, real-time physics, and shared problem-solving to create eureka moments – from friends struggling to carry a heavy log, to someone set on cooking up a feast to boost stamina, as well as lazy days spent fishing by the beach.

Rather than punishing mechanics or complex systems, Survival Kids introduces an intuitive, accessible approach to the genre. There’s no hunger meter or inventory grind – just fun, discovery, and a constant sense of progression. Whether players are new to games or seasoned veterans, it’s easy to jump in and enjoy the ride.

Whether it’s your first time picking up a controller or your hundredth island expedition, Survival Kids is designed to bring people together. It’s a co-op game where the challenge is shared, the laughter is real, and every game plays out differently – depending on who you play with and how you play.

*The quality of video and audio may vary depending on the wireless environment (distance, obstacles, etc.).
