Taming of Gaming Media

Cordova, TN; September XX, in the year of our Lord 2023 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. Too many of the gaming media outlets have been completely tamed by many of the video game companies. Our industry is a little different than say news or sports. Those journalists can write about what someone did and what they expect from them. They can also write about how they performed in a certain game. There is complete and total public access to the content.

Things are a bit different in video games. Too many gaming media outlets are just cheerleaders for these video game companies to make them more sales. They make more sales and maybe they will get some advertisements for being such a good boy. Yes I feel like I am talking to a dog. Giving the video game companies high scores for whatever slop they release means they get an early copy. Maybe that practice should end. Maybe it should be we all get the games on launch day. If you want reviews you need to wait until gaming media outlets can properly vet the game. Right now very few gaming media outlets completely play the video game from start to finish before telling you to buy it.

A lot of the intelligent gamers have zero trust in the majority of the gaming media outlets. Yet they still support them with views, likes, comments and more. If you actually want a better video game industry why don't you start to support gaming media outlets that are honest like Family Friendly Gaming and Christ Centered Game Reviews? We could certainly use the grass roots support. It would also send a message to the entire industry that you will not support the corrupt swamp of corruption in the video game industry.

I have read report after report where video game media outlets have ignored all journalistic integrity to keep the ad revenue flowing. They do not want to go belly up like too many of gaming media outlets. The petty and small minded vindictive nature of too many video game companies has hurt a lot of gaming media outlets. Why not Family Friendly Gaming? We have been discriminated against, hated on, black listed and more. Thing is we do what we want, when we want, and how we want. We listen to our readers and viewers and do what we can based on our limited finances to support those ideas. We have been clear to and with these video game companies - they need us more than we need them. We can write about games after they are released - sometimes months or years later. It is no skin off our noses. We have plenty of games to cover for decades to come. We also purchase retro games to have even more to cover.

It is my hope and my desire that more video game media outlets will start to open their eyes and realize they do not need to live in fear. If Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or others do not send you stuff then go public like we did. Point out how petty, vindictive and small minded they are. Point out the others are bought off and corrupt. Anyone with morals will do the right thing and support those of us with integrity. If they complain about it point out who the villain actually is. Ask them if they just want high reviews so you can get early copies of games.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
