eFootball 2023 Releases

 

 

LOS ANGELES – August 25, in the year of our Lord 2022 – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI). today announces the release of both the console and mobile versions of eFootball™ 2023. The game will be available across PlayStation 4®, PlayStation 5®, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows®10, and PC Steam® devices.

eFootball™ returns for its second year, bringing the updated player data and transfers from the summer window. With the continued ‘free to play’ model, KONAMI are bringing their fans the latest updates in football simulation gaming including the updated squads and stadiums for the array of licensed leagues and clubs on their roster.

New Partnerships

In an exclusive license agreement, Liga BBVA MX will be implemented in eFootball™ 2023, bringing all 18 Mexican clubs, stunning replications of its players, and the addition of the historic Estadio Azteca.

eFootball™ 2023 will see the return of two former partners in AC Milan and Inter Milan, the current holders of Italy’s top domestic league competition and cup competition respectively. This will see the introduction to the clubs’ full squads, kits, and the iconic stadium that they share: the San Siro.

AFC Champions League™ 2022 will also be in eFootball™ 2023. The AFC Champions League™ are also welcoming the 2022 season with full squads and kits of the participating clubs to be updated.

However, it is not just clubs that KONAMI has added. English international right-back Trent Alexander Arnold and Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes join the roster of already top-class Player Ambassadors, including Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Takefusa Kubo.

Fresh Card Types

The latest eFootball™ title will see the introduction of two new card types for its flagship game mode ‘Dream Team’: ‘Epic’ and ‘Highlight’.

‘Epic’ – Epic cards will centre around players throughout football history, celebrating defining seasons of brilliance from them.

‘Highlight’ – Highlight cards will focus on the current season as it unfolds, picking up current players who are setting world football alight in the 2022/23 season.

The Latest Club Packs

With the additions of Italian giants AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano (Inter Milan), as well as Mexican side Club America, eFootball™ 2023 will include Club Packs for all three clubs, allowing users to add an entire squad to their Dream Team roster at one time.

Even novices to the game can set themselves up with a strong base, as these packs provide them with 11 top squad members from some of world football’s best clubs.

Players in these packs will be of the "Highlight" Player Type with the latest data.

‘Trial Match’ clubs extended massively

Previously in the eFootball™ series, users have the ability to select one of nine partner clubs when playing offline in ‘Trial Matches’. eFootball™ 2023 will see this extended to 26 with additions to selection including: AC Milan, Inter Milan, AS Roma, S.S.C. Napoli, Club America, Santos F.C.Universitario de Deportes, Sport Boys, Alianza Lima, Sporting Cristal, Atlético Mineiro, Sport Club Internacional, Colo-Colo, Universidad de Chile and more.
