Lies I am Tired of - No Budget

Cordova, TN; September 24, in the year of our Lord 2022 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I realized recently that there are plenty of lies I am sick and tired of hearing. Maybe this will turn into a series of articles. I don't know. Time will tell. The first lie I am tired of hearing is no budget. I get it when there are indie companies who are doing the video game work part time. Those make sense. They are working a day job and in the evenings and weekends working on their video game. Those generally make sense. Thing is thanks to Catapult, Lurkit and others I have been paid by plenty of extremely small video game companies to play their game. In fact there have been one man shops that have paid us to play their game for a video sponsorship.

The ones that really get to me are the companies that brag about making hundreds of millions of dollars to billions of dollars. Those same companies will say: "no budget," when we ask about video sponsorships and/or advertisements. Do they actually think anyone believes a word out of their mouths when they say that? I don't believe anything they say anymore because I have caught them in lie after lie. Many times I do not even other with publishing their bragging press releases about all of the money they made. I just reply back with: "now you have money to advertise with us." They still try and same lie when it is blatantly obvious they are lying. Do they have no morals? Do they have no ethics. They get no respect when they use that line over and over again.

The same comes from the black hearts in PR and Marketing. They brag about getting a five digit bonus for certain products making so much money. They can't donate anything to us. They can't advertise with us. They have no budget. They are swimming in cash like Scrooge McDuck, but can't do anything to help us out. That is the core of the problem. They are being totally and completely selfish. We have already gone to bat for them. We have already utilized our extremely limited resources helping them make money. They have no conscious or concept of showing their thankfulness. Ultimately I question if they actually are thankful because they do nothing to show it.

I want to contrast that with what we do at Family Friendly Gaming. We have a very limited budget and constantly go above and beyond our means. We are constantly helping out others when we have no budget to do so. I am barely able to stay away some nights because I am doing so much to help out so many. I am not demanding anything in return. I am not bugging people as to when they will start paying for the work that makes them money. I have already shown them the better way to be. I have given them the roadmap. Problem is they don't care. Problem is they are self absorbed. I heard one person brag about being able to retire in their thirties because of the bonuses they got from the companies they made massive profits. I am still working a day job and Family Friendly Gaming and I recently turned fifty. But then I comprehend service, helping others, and being selfless. Maybe this article will shame some of the selfish into being better human beings.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
