Microsoft Making a Lot of Good Moves

Cordova, TN; November 9, in the year of our Lord 2020 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. We continue to be open and transparent here at Family Friendly Gaming. We love bringing a voice of diversity to video game media. We also happily give the voice of the family in the video game industry. Finally we enjoy giving the Biblical voice to the video game industry. We have noticed something very fascinating here at Family Friendly Gaming. Microsoft has been making a lot of great moves in regards to the Xbox Series X. I have been a long time critic of Microsoft on a great many topics. I know they have never won a console generation war. Will this be their shot finally? We have seen what Nintendo, Atari, and Sony do with power. What will Microsoft do if they win?

It shocked me that Microsoft finally thought of consumers and said if you buy a game on Xbox One you get a free upgrade to play that game on the Xbox Series X. That means gamers will be buying more games on the Xbox One and transferring them up to the Xbox Series X. Microsoft has even said if a company won’t do that, they won’t let them on their system. Sony has made some moves in this arena but not as strong as Microsoft. I am very pleased to see Microsoft do that. Xbox Series X comes in both disc version and downloadable only version. That way families can show which they support. We will be looking for a disc version of course.

If you are not into the physical copy movement and want a disc-less Xbox Series X then you can save one hundred dollars over the PS5 disc-less version. Families can do a lot saving one hundred dollars on a system. Too bad the disc version does not do the same thing. Microsoft has announced cross generation play so you can still hang with your friends who have not upgraded to the latest system. Peter appreciates that because many of his friends will not be able to upgrade to the Xbox Series X right away. The Xbox Series X will have 120 fps, and clock in at 4K. The Xbox Series X will be available two days before the Playstation 5. The GPU is faster and better on the Xbox Series X. There is also more custom storage on the Xbox Series X. If you are into Forza or Halo then the Xbox Series X is where you want to be.

The last time Family Friendly Gaming predicted a console generate winner was before the Wii was released. We are not sure about this console generation. What we have noted is Microsoft is making some good moves. Those moves have caught our attention. They have bought up certain well known video game developers and publishers that will lock in hardcore gamers. It still remains to be seen what Microsoft will do for families on the Xbox Series X.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
