Give Me My Way or Goodbye

Cordova, TN; January 27, in the year of our Lord 2020 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing our transparency and openness on something we have noticed over on Twitch. It might happen on other video sites with streaming as well. Viewers come by, and get into the stream. Once they can chat they ask for something. If we give them what they want then they will stay around. If we are not able to give them their way they are gone. That level of selfishness bothers me deeply. Are they going around to different channels trying to get their way only?

I totally understand compromise. I totally get give and take. There are instances where we cannot give someone their way. Take Dragon Quest Builders 2 for example. I have had viewers come by and ask if they could come and play in my world. I would happily allow them to do this. The one problem is my account does not have an online Nintendo account. Peter’s account does since he did the Super Mario Maker 2 streams, levels, and whatnot. Peter’s account has never played Dragon Quest Builders 2. I put around sixty hours into Dragon Quest Builders 2. I don’t have time to do all of that time on another account. If I played with Peter’s account the online part is not even unlocked. Nintendo will not allow us to transfer game saves from one account to another one.

What baffles me is once these viewers find out they are not getting what they want, they ghost quickly. What did they want to do in my world? Destroy everything? Make a mess of things? Are they just seeking whom they can harm and do damage to? We get told our streams are fun and entertaining all the time. Why not hang out with us a bit longer? Why is there an expectation that we will pay Nintendo every month to play online? It bothers me to find out certain viewers are only there to try and get their way. Where is the compromise from them? Peter and Noah have both had this happen to them on other games as well. I do not comprehend the selfish mentality of give me my way or goodbye.

I support all kinds of people who do not give me my way. In fact the older I get the less I get my way. There are more people to help and serve. There is more to do that I do not want to do. To me the selfish mentality of give me my way or goodbye exhibits an immaturity. I get wanting to play with others. I get wanting to get into someone’s stream to be a part of something cool and wonderful. If that is the case then they should say so. Not ghost once they find out they can’t get their way. The viewers we have noticed doing this also unfollow. I might decide to pay for a Nintendo Online account in the future and play with you if you stay a follower. When you unfollow I see no reason to interact in the future because you have shown your true nature.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
